Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
The Salt Lake Dance Center offers dance instruction for kids ages three to 17. Classes include hip-hop, tap, jazz, ballet, and pre-ballet.

Since its founding in 1983, the Salt Lake Dance Center is recognized as one of the very finest dance schools in the intermountain west.  We offer a wide variety of instruction for ages 3 years to 17 with all levels of ability.  At the Salt Lake Dance Center, we have a year round, complete program of ballet and pre-ballet in addition to jazz, hip-hop and tap.

Whether your child wishes to learn for the pure enjoyment of dancing, or pursue dance to a professional level, the Salt Lake Dance Center has the curriculum, expertise, and training. Students are trained in a pleasant, nurturing environment with professionally qualified instructors.

Many students from Salt Lake Dance Center who have studied in the past and continue to study with us have  achieved some very impressive accomplishments. Over the past years, many of our dancers have had roles in Ballet West’s performances of “The Nutcracker.” Several of these girls were also selected to perform in another of Ballet West’s productions “Midsummer Nights Dream.” In addition several of our dancers have been accepted into national dance programs, either on scholarships or as full company members, such as the New York City Ballet School, Atlanta Ballet, Houston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet, the Pennsylvania ballet, The Milwaukee Ballet, The Professional Performing Arts High School in Interlochen, Michigan, Ballet West’s Conservatory Program, Contra Costa Ballet, Alvin Ailey in New York City, the Disneyland Professional Dance Company and AMDA.

Many students have and continue to receive scholarships to university and college dance programs such as Brigham Young University, University of Utah, Snow College, Rick’s college, and College of Eastern Utah. Former students have toured with Ballet West’s productions of “Sleeping Beauty.” Several Dancers currently have jobs on cruise lines.
