Polynesian Days is FOR EVERYONE! Our Festival is an annual event that showcases the culture(s), foods, entertainment and diversities of the Polynesian islands.

Polynesian Days is FOR EVERYONE!  Our Festival is an annual event that showcases the culture(s), foods, entertainment and diversities of the Polynesian islands.   Polynesian Days is an outdoor three-day event with Island and local crafts, hand-made products and other local products and services.  You will find a wide variety of activities, entertainment, crafts, foods and more.  A little bit for everyone!More information can be found at www.polynesiandays.com

The festival is divided into separate parts:

Polynesian Days Part 1

September 4 & 5 | Electric Park | 10 am - 9 pm each day
Free admissionFriday September 4th and Saturday September 5th.  These first two days will be held at Electric Park and will be FREE to the public.  This event will have live entertainment, booths with local and island crafts, kid’s entertainment, and education, and much more.  


Polynesian Days Part 2

September 7 | Thanksgiving Point Gardens | 10 am - 4 pmIncluded with regular Thanksgiving Point Gardens admission ($15/adults, $12/child, Free/Thanksgiving Point Members)Enjoy the beauty of Thanksgiving Point's 55-acre garden paradise as we celebrate day two of Polynesian Days.

 

Activities for both days include:

  • Dancing- Polynesian and cultural Dancing at its BEST! Watch as performers from each culture, tell their history and traditions through dance.   Enjoy the dancers as they dress in their traditional and cultural attire.  Many of our entertainers have danced professionally.
  • Story Telling- listen to the fun stories and enjoy the traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation.
  • Singing- Listen to the beautiful songs that tell of stories and tales of days past.
  • Dance Lessons- You and the kids can put on your grass skirts and shake those hips or guys boldly express yourself through the Haka.
  • Keiki (kid) Dancing- Come watch as local youth groups perform various cultural dances.
  • Various Polynesian Talent- The local Polynesian Talent is incredible! Many of these individuals have been performing since their youth and many have performed professionally.

 

  • Food: It is all about the food!  Some of the most amazing flavors come from the islands.  Come try and enjoy foods from Tonga, Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, Micronesia, Tahiti, New Zealand and many others.  Also enjoy snacks, breads, desserts, drinks and specialty foods from our many vendors.  For the picky eaters we also have boring American food too.  Local groups will be doing fundraising and bringing some of the most amazing items you can imagine.  Don’t miss the food!  Really, Really-Really it’s going to be amazing!  Come hungry!  

  • Giving Back – The Spirit of Aloha and friendship!  We are all OHANA (family)! A portion of ALL proceeds go to help families and children in the Polynesian Islands.  Our biggest project is creating a jobs starting in Tonga and then duplicate this to other Polynesian islands!
