The Off Broadway Theatre (OBT) opened its doors in 1994 bringing family-friendly parodies, traditional plays, musicals, and live improv comedy shows to the people of Salt Lake. We are a non-for-profit 501 (c)(3) company. Our audiences get a chance to see a unique brand of comedy in both plays and improv shows throughout the year.

The Off Broadway Theatre is a non profit 501 (c)3 organization that offers theatrical plays & improv comedy shows. Performances run Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays; see www.theOBT.org for times and prices

OBT opened its doors back in 1994 bringing family-friendly parodies, traditional plays, musicals and live improv comedy shows throughout the Wasatch Front. The theatre company started out as a for profit, but in late 2008 we decided to take the route of becoming a non-for-profit 501 (c)(3) company.

Our audiences get a chance to see a unique brand of comedy in both the plays and the improv shows throughout the year. Our mission is to share the gift of laughter for all ages and provide fun opportunities to actors, playwrites, directors and volunteers to be a part of a theatre community.
