Pride Flag Raising Ceremony - Utah Pride Center

Join us at Washington Square for a powerful and beloved tradition as we kick off Pride Week with the annual Pride Flag Raising Ceremony, hosted by the Salt Lake City Mayor’s Office. This moment marks the raising of the Sego Belonging Flag — a public symbol of visibility, inclusion, and solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community in Utah. As the flag rises over the heart of the city, we gather to reflect on how far we’ve come, honor the work still ahead, and officially launch a week centered on Pride, connection, and community. This is more than a ceremony — it’s a shared commitment to belonging. All are welcome to attend and be part of this meaningful start to Utah Pride Week.
