The Olympic Cauldron Park is where you can see two of the most recognizable items from the 2002 Winter Olympics: The 2002 Olympic Cauldron and the Hoberman Arch. There is also a visitor center featuring a photo gallery and a movie about the games.

Adjacent to Rice-Eccles Stadium at the University of Utah, site of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the Olympic Cauldron Park has preserved the very best memories of the XIX Olympic Winter Games. The purpose of the park is to enable the public to share many of the magical, once in a lifetime, experiences that made the 2002 Olympic Winter Games so unforgettable.

  • At the park’s center stands the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Cauldron.
  • The Salt Lake 2002 Visitors Center and Theater provides a multi-sensory experience like no other—a gallery of color images, and a breathtaking film allow you to see the games like you never have before.
  • The Visitors Center is a unique space available for private rental.
  • The Hoberman Arch, where athletes received their medals, resides in the park.

The Olympic Cauldron Park is a proud member of the Foothill Cultural District. Please visit us online at www.Foothillcd.com
