Minimum Age: 8
Maximum Age: 12
Prerequisites: Basic fine and gross motor skills. Demonstrates the ability to safely handle lab materials and strictly adhere to all verbal and written safety instructions.
Summary: Participants will spend 1.5 hours at the Innovation Hub makerspace learning about space radiation and what NASA does to prepare for this threat to space missions! Participants will experiment with UV beads and build barriers out of a variety or materials that block or reduce radiation.
This course requires an enrollment of at least 3 participants.
